Acrolinks weekend

Acrolinks are coming to Vienna!

The dynamic, explosive and sweet duo (Jessica & Marco) from the North of Italy are coming to Vienna and offering 3 workshops. Each workshop lasts 2.5 hours and you can choose to join one, two or all three workshops. On Saturday we focus on icarians and on Sunday creative flows are on the menu.

Programme:

  • Saturday: 15h-17h30 - Icarians - intermediate/advanced

  • Sunday: 11h-13h30 - Morning flow - multilevel

  • Sunday: 15h -17h30 - Afternoon flow - multilevel

Pricing:

  • One workshop 40€

  • Two workshops 70€

  • Three workshops 100€

All workshops will be multilevel, ensuring that everyone will be able to find the right challenge and support. However, the workshops are not suitable for total beginners. You should be comforable with basic washing machines, like ninja star and four-step. For the icarian workshop bases should have some familiarity with pops and we encourage practicing the basic icarians (straight throws in bird and american chair) in the weeks leading to the workshop.

On both days there will be a jam until 19h for the participants, with the possibility to get extra input from Jessica & Marco.

Puzzle mats are provided and we ensure that there will be enough space to train safely.

The workshops take place at Sporthalle Wien - Fuhrmannsgasse 18, 1080 Wien.

Registration is mandatory by filling out the form below:

Who are Acrolinks?

It’s like a little explosion, what comes together here.

Marco (Cuzio) has always been fascinated by observing the biomechanics of acrobatic movement.

And Jessica is passionate about finding the best paths and preparations to build a functional acrobatic movement.

Together they are Acrolinks.

And since they train and teach together, they are setting new standards in Acro, especially in Icarians. Not knowing each other yet, they both started their acrobatic journey as parkour teachers in Italy. This is one of the reasons why solo acrobatics plays a fundamental role in their practice, in understanding movement and also in their teaching. When they first met, they immediately recognized that they both have a special and similar way of feeling and expressing movement. This created an unbelievable connection through which they could instinctively trust each other. In their workshops and classes it is important for both, that the students first discover the sensation of an acrobatic movement and get in touch with their own preparation. Then, once they try the same movement in partner acrobatics, they will be supported by this knowledge of their body. What they love about this kind of teaching, is seeing students transform their practice and understanding movement and at the same time understanding their Acro-partners in a more supportive way. To realize this harmony in movement, both emphasize the importance of constructive communication, the feeling of oneself and of your partner, so both can step into a physical and non-physical dialogue. That’s probably their secret, because otherwise they would not be able to expand their limits as they regularly do when inventing new crazy movements.
